We aim to deliver the best possible customer experience and we therefore aim to adhere to all current and proposed legislation. The conditions detailed below do not affect your statutory rights. These include all of the current guidelines relating to the information that we hold about you and, in order to clarify this, we have a published Privacy Statement.

Products & Eligibility:

All items are subject to availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if the goods you have ordered are not available. Products and packaging are subject to change or substitution without prior notice.

Every effort will be made to dispatch the items as specified on the order. Where an order is conditional upon subsequent authorisation by an Awarding Body (Professional Body, Membership Organisation or Examinations Board) prior to production, then we reserve the right to produce the order in accordance with the instruction of the Awarding Body, not the customer order. This condition would be clearly specified at an appropriate point in the ordering process. We reserve the right not to accept the order if approval of an awarding body is required and is not obtained or for any other reason that we see fit.

In the case of qualification products, for security reasons, subtle sizing and format changes will be made to differentiate plaques from original certificates.

Payment will be taken when an order is placed, other than for customers with approved credit which have been authorised by a director of the company. Payment will be refunded should it not be possible to produce your order.  Should your payment not clear, then the order will be cancelled unless cleared payment is made by alternative means.

Additional Product Specific Conditions:

In some circumstances products are issued under licence and remain the property of Recognition Plaques or the Awarding Body concerned. This can be the case where there are continued membership or continuing professional development requirements in order to maintain a qualification to which our products relate. Should this be the case, then this condition (along with any other specific awarding body conditions) are advised to the customer during the ordering process and prior to the final purchase confirmation.

All product specific conditions would be clearly specified at an appropriate point in the ordering process.

Delivery Targets:

Where customers provide accurate contact details, we try to acknowledge orders by email and provide an estimated delivery date. We aim to deliver the finished products within 14 days of receipt of order for generic products or for qualification products (which are subject to authorisation protocols), 14 days from receipt of authorisation by the Awarding Organisation (UK).  Please add a further 7 days delivery for orders to destinations outside the UK.  Sales are subject to authorisation where it is required by the Awarding Body and cleared payment. Our typical delivery times are well within this target period, and we try where possible to accommodate customers’ urgent delivery requirements.

Please Note: Customs Charges and Import Duties/Tarrifs may be applicable to customers in some countries outside the UK.  If applicable, these are payable by customers locally updon delivery.

We find it most efficient and least disruptive to close our workshop for two annual holidays per annum. This can cause a slight deterioration in our usual turnaround benchmarks, but extra staffing is employed prior and subsequent to holiday closedowns to minimise any potential inconvenience to customers. Our customers recognise that our staff deserve to “recharge their batteries” every now and then in order to be able to maintain the consistently high standards that are achieved year in, year out! Our annual holiday close downs are published on our web site.

Back Orders:

If an item is out of stock, or if there are any other delays that would prevent us meeting our delivery targets, we will email you with the option either to cancel your order or, having told you when we can fulfil it, to wait for delivery.

Product Inscription:

Our products include an element of bespoke customisation. Where approval is required by an Awarding Body, then the inscription will be made in accordance to the instructions of the awarding body, not the client order.

Where Awarding Body approval is not a requirement, we will endeavour to customise the inscription of the product in accordance with your order details for your own personal and non-commercial use. We will advise you by email or telephone if this is not possible and endeavour to agree a mutually acceptable way forward.

We reserve the right to reject any order or inscription requirement sent to us that we consider may offend as being defamatory, racist, offensive, harassing, threatening, vulgar, abusive, indecent, obscene, menacing or in breach of confidence, copyright or any other legal rights, or which may cause embarrassment or distress to any person or is otherwise unlawful or objectionable.

You also agree that you will not impersonate any person including, but not limited to, any of our employees or customers. You are entirely responsible for any text or other material that you post or send on this message system and we accept no liability for any such content.

Where it is not possible to accommodate the inscription requirements, then your order will be cancelled, and your payment will be refunded.

Methods of Payment:

All payments must be made in Pounds Sterling (£ GBP).

We currently accept payment by most major credit/debit cards and Paypal. These are detailed on the payment section of our internet ordering pages. If you order off-line you may also pay by cheque. Please make cheques payable to Recognition Plaques and write your name and address on the back of the cheque. Cheque orders will not be dispatched until payment has been cleared.  Please contact us should you wish to make payment by bank transfer.

In certain circumstances, Recognition Plaques may at its complete discretion agree to provide products and services on account for regular customers, where expressly agreed. Credit accounts must be agreed prior to purchase and payment must be received within 30 days of invoice. We reserve the right to credit check our account customers as and when we see fit. Accounts can be opened, suspended and closed at the discretion of Recognition Plaques. Accounts must be settled in full on suspension or closure. Recognition Plaques reserves the right to charge interest on all overdue balances at the rate of 5% above the Bank of England Base Rate. Account customers must also accept that they will be charged any costs incurred by Recognition Plaques in the collection of overdue accounts. Goods and/or the Licence (subject to usage conditions outlined prior to order) to use the goods remain the property of Recognition Plaques until payment is received in full.

We reserve the right to update and amend prices.

Please Note: Customs Charges and Import Duties/Tarrifs may be applicable to customers in some countries outside the UK.  If applicable, these are payable by customers locally updon delivery.

Where Delivery and Packaging Charges are not included within the price of your order, these will be clearly identified and itemised at an appropriate point in the order process.

The total cost of your order will be clearly detailed during the order process and prior to proceeding to pay for the goods. The displayed price is the amount in pounds sterling that you will pay.

If you are ordering from a non-United Kingdom address, the order will be processed in pounds sterling and the currency conversion will be undertaken (where appropriate) by the customer’s credit/debit card provider, at their published rates.  Overseas customers will be invoiced and required to pay in pounds sterling.

All credit or debit card payments are checked and verified by the card processing company prior to dispatch, so please ensure that the details you provide us with are correct. We cannot accept responsibility for an order being held back as a result of incorrect or invalid payment details being given.

Cancelling your Order:

As each product is customised, you may only cancel your order prior to production and/or dispatch.

Product Refunds / Replacement:

Every effort will be made to produce and deliver your product to the highest standards. As each product is customised, refunds are not offered, apart from in the following circumstances where …

  • The order has be declined or rejected by Recognition Plaques
  • The order has been cancelled by the client prior to production and dispatch.

In the rare circumstances of a product arriving in an unsatisfactory condition, a replacement product will be issued upon return of the unsatisfactory consignment (please return using original packaging where possible). Please include a description on the reason for return and inform us of the postage costs incurred by the client in returning the goods. Where we find the reason for return to be reasonable, a replacement product will be issued and client postage costs incurred in returning the goods will be refunded.

You should ensure that you obtain proof of postage when returning goods. A replacement product can only be provided for items received back by us, with a reasonable reason for the return.
